Michael James Grannis, 35, of Las Cruces, died Thursday, August 3, 2017. Michael was born in Thornton, Colorado on October 28, 1981, to Ronald E. Grannis and Cari L. Howey. Michael's passion was Music and Art. He was an artist at a young age. His grandmother Wylla Howey would purchase spray paint for Him to paint murals on the garage. Michael loved music. He has a special talent for spinning vinyl while DJing. He was a very lovable person, who captured the hearts of many. Michael was a very handsome man and he loved to dress smart . He had a beautiful smile and contagious laugh, his eyes could melt your soul. Michael is survived by three beautiful girls, whom he loved very much; Coriel Grannis-Ezell, Saebra Grannis, and Amber Grannis. He is also survived by his father, Ronald E. Grannis and wife Carroll, mother Cari L. Howey as well as a sister Amanda Smith and her husband Jeff Smith. His nephews Wade and Westen. He also had one half-brother - Shane Grannis, two half-sisters Samantha Duran, Kimberly Grannis. Also surviving him is his Aunt Donna Howey-Offerson and Husband Monte. Cousin Rebecca Offerson-Hanson and their two children. His Aunt Deborah Howey-Hughes and her husband Jay Hughes. His cousins Curtis J. Hughes and his child and Kelsey Hughes-Brown. He is also survived by his grandmother Wylla L. Howey. Preceding him in death is his step father Shawn A. Kelly, cousin Amber L. Offerson, grandfather Stanley C Howey, grandfather Stanley Grannis and grandmother Bernadine Grannis. Memorial services for Mike will be held Friday, August 11, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Getz Funeral Home located at 1410 E. Bowman Ave. in Las Cruces. PDF Printable Version
