Our dearly loved daughter, sister, aunt and niece, Julie Anderson, age 46, passed away suddenly on August 19, 2015 in Portland, Oregon. Julie was born in Las Cruces on September 14, 1968. She graduated from Las Cruces High, where she played basketball and volleyball. While attending NMSU, she was a Sun Dancer. Julie worked many years as a Customer Service Representative for Apria Health Care and United Seating and Mobility. During much of that time, she traveled over the US as a trainer for new acquisitions for her companies, living in Phoenix, Albuquerque, Sacramento, Chicago and finally Wilsonville, Oregon. She was a lover of animals, particularly cats, and leaves behind her "kids" Maverick, Lucy and Elvis. She was a NASCAR fanatic and especially fond of Keven Harvick. Julie loved to bowl and dance. She was the life of the party and had friends everywhere. She is survived by her love and partner, Charles Clough, parents Margy and John Papen and Charles "Butch" Anderson, sister, Michelle, nephews Dylan, Zakary, and Jack; cousins Elizabeth, Alexa, Grant and Amy, and by uncles Tom Keesing, Robert Keesing, and aunt, Lisa Rister (Terry). She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Walter and Gene Keesing and paternal grandparents, Opal and Houston (Andy) Anderson; her aunt, Anna Mae Smith and uncle, J.W. Anderson. Funeral services will be held on August 28, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E. Bowman Ave. At Julie's request, her eyes and organs have been donated and cremation has taken place.
