Life Legacy

Dora Lucero Padilla, 72, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 in Spokane, WA. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Dora was born in Hatch, New Mexico on April 4, 1944 to Teofilo & Marcelina Lucero. After living in New Mexico for many years and retiring in the medical industry, she moved to Spokane, WA in 2005. She was an adventurous woman, always enjoyed the outdoors, playing bingo and Wii games. Her many talents included cooking, baking, jewelry making and other hand-made crafts. Dora volunteered with various projects and also served as the Hall Monitoring Resident for many years at Maple Wood Gardens. Dora is survived by her children, Harvey Padilla and his wife Martha of Houston, TX; Jimmy Padilla and his wife Maria of Carlsbad, NM; Shirley Padilla of Spokane, WA; and Ray Padilla of Las Cruces, NM; her grandchildren, William Padilla, Dustin Padilla, Alyse Sanchez, KayLa Miranda Aristide, Ryan Padilla, Zachary Padilla, Isaiah Padilla, Isaac Miranda, Leoni Padilla, and Brianna Padilla; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Teofilo (Guero) Lucero; and sisters, Carmen, Lupe, Rosa, and Jenny and many nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents, Teofilo and Marcelina Lucero; brothers, Castulo and Daniel Lucero; and grandson, Anthony Padilla. A Rosary and Prayer Vigil will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, June 11th at Getz Funeral Home in Las Cruces, NM. PDF Printable Version
