Life Legacy

Ramona Barncastle died at home on December 28, 2016 in Las Cruces, New Mexico at the age of 97. Ramona is survived by her daughter, Martha Barncastle (Sam) of Las Cruces, New Mexico; grandson, Michael Barncastle-Carbajal of Las Cruces New Mexico; great grandson, Cipriano Maxwell (JoAnn) of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and Great-great grandchildren Ja'Niah and Jo'Ziah. Ramona had a passion for baking and cooking. Her favorite thing to do was to eat out with her daughter, Martha Barncastle, and her niece Jeanne Lopez. A special thanks to Las Cruces City Respite and La Posada Hospice for the special care given to Ramona. A Rosary is scheduled for 7:00pm on Sunday, January 8th,2016 in the Getz Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, at 10:00am, Monday, January 9th, 2016. Fr. Rogelio Martinez officiating. Ramona will be intered at Fort Bliss National Cemetery alongside her husband Leopoldo A. Barncastle.
