Lorenzo M. Marquez, 72, passed away on February 1, 2017 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He was born on August 10, 1944 in San Miguel, New Mexico to Daniel and Carmen Marquez. Lorenzo loved going to the casino and cheering on his Dallas Cowboys, but mostly, he loved his family. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Trinie G. Marquez, sons Henry, Ernest, and Rey Marquez, daughters, Sally Martinez (Eddie), Sonya Martinez (Gabe), and Sherry Fabila. He also leaves behind brothers, Lupe (Connie), Nati, and David Marquez, sisters, Irene, Rita, and Cecilia. Grandchildren, Sherrina, Andre, Adrian, Katrina, Henry, Jr., Gabriel, Jr., Ernest, Jr., Andrew, Angelique, Ashley, Isabel, Brianna, and special nephew, Ronnie Giron. He is predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Carmen Marquez, and brother, Danny Marquez. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 6 pm to 7 pm at Getz Funeral Chapel, 1410 E. Bowman Ave., with a rosary at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
