Life Legacy

Jill Charlotte Thompson was born on August 18, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan, to Donald and Geraldine Thompson. She was reborn in the waters of Holy Baptism on November 9, 1954, and steadfastly confessed the Christian faith as a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church for the remainder of her earthly life. Jill was a respected physicist for many years at the Army Research Laboratory (SLAD) and had a special place in her heart for her dogs and her cars. The Lord God, in His wisdom, took Jill from this vale of tears on April 20, 2017, at the age of 62, as the angels carried her soul to the arms of the risen Lord Christ to await the resurrection of her body on the Last Day. She is survived by her mother Geraldine, her father Donald, her sister Deborah, and by her beloved church family. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 26, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 4675 Bataan Memorial West, Las Cruces, New Mexico, 88012.
