Laurence Paul Hutchins

Laurence Paul Hutchins, know to his friends simply as Paul passed away at home on December 30, 2024. Paul was born in New Castle Indiana to Bessie Howell and John Anderson Hutchins on June 23rd 1937.

 Dr. Hutchins, a psychologist in private practice had studied at Rutgers University in New Jersey and Yeshiva University in New York. Although he was in private practice, Paul also worked at Veteran Administration Hospitals, public and private schools for more than 20 years..

 Paul married Robin, and they had a son, Jon-Paul who is a renowned Chef and former director of the Scottsdale Culinary Institute in Arizona.

 Paul and Robin loved to travel... the Carribean in the winter and Europe any time they could. They visited German, Holland, France, Switzerland, and England... especially England where Paul thought that Harrods had been opened just for him. He loved to shop. When not shopping Paul was a volunteer at Safe Haven Animal Shelter in Las Cruces, working with cats and fund raising, he became a Master Gardener, and learned to love Mexican food.

 On Friday, February 21st, a meeting of his friends will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 1701 Missouri Ave. from 2 to 4 PM, you are welcome to Join us.
