Laine Mcintosh Burch

Laine McIntosh Burch, 56, of Las Cruces, passed away May 5, 2007 at Mesilla Valley Hospice in Las Cruces. Laine McIntosh was born October 27, 1950 in Clay Center, Kansas, the daughter of William F. and Lavone Taddiken McIntosh. She graduated from Clay Center Community High School and attended Flagler College, St. Augustine, Florida. She completed nurses training at Research Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri and later earned a Masters degree in psychology at the University of Missouri at Warrensburg. Mrs. Burch fulfilled her career ambition by working as a Registered Nurse at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She retired from this position shortly before moving to Las Cruces. She married Dr. Timothy K. Burch of Kansas City, Kansas on July 10, 1971. He passed away in 1999. After moving to Las Cruces, Mrs. Burch united with the St. Andrews Episcopal Church. She was an acolyte, a member of the church choir and the bell choir and the Daughters of the King. Survivors include daughters Lara Burch of St. Louis, Missouri and Megan Salter and husband Kurt of Wheaton, Illinois; grandson, Grayson Salter; brother Laird McIntosh of Las Cruces and sister Heather McIntosh Dreith and husband Steven of Waterville, Kansas. Her remains will rest in the St. Andrews Episcopal Church Columbarium. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrews on Saturday, May 26 at 11 a.m. Memorials may be made to the St. Andrews Episcopal Church Rector's Discretionary Fund. PDF Printable Version
