Kelly D. Balko-Bong

Kelly Balko-Bong, 48 of Las Cruces, died February 21, 2010 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center after courageous two-year battle with cancer. She was born April 5, 1961 in Littlefield, Texas to Rodney and Laverne Balko. She attended school in Las Cruces and graduated from Mayfield High School in 1978. She is survived by her husband Dave Bong; her parents Rodney and Laverne Balko; two daughters Desiree Baca of Albuquerque, NM and Kerri McLain of Las Cruces, NM; one granddaughter Kimberly Baca of Las Cruces and three brothers Kenneth Balko (Hellis) of Rochester, WA, Ricky West (Claudia) of Hale Center, Texas, Danny West (Donna) of Hale Center, Texas; one sister Jana Mengas (Mike) of Levelland, Texas; uncle and Aunt Gerald and Leota Qualls of Conroe, Texas, several cousins and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday February 24, 2010 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel with --R. Maurice Hollingsworth, Pastor of First Baptist Church officiating.
