Julianita (Julie) Jimenez. Loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend: Julie Jimenez of Las Cruces, entered eternal life Wednesday, May 31, 2006. She was born on September 5th, 1942 in Rincon, New Mexico to Valente and Amalia Jimenez. She fought a long battle with illness before raising her arms to be received by the Lord at San Joaquin Hospital in Bakersfield California. She is now on a new journey that only promises peace and tranquility. She leaves behind sons, Johnny Robert Duarte (Dolly), Peter Paul Jimenez (Tammy), James Harold Davis Jr. (Yvonne) and a daughter, Annette Marie Garcia (Carlos) survive Julie. Her grandchildren; Johnny Robert Duarte, Robert Daniel Jimenez, Joseph Anthony Jimenez, Adrian Michael Jimenez, Tyler Reyes Jimenez, James Paul Jimenez, Christina Marie Buenning,David Lee Buenning, and 2 two great grand children; Robert Daniel Jimenez and Xoe Marie Buenning. Julie is survived by brothers Juan Jimenez (Mari) of Las Cruces, Antonio Jimenez of Indiana, Daniel Jimenz of Las Cruces, sisters Adelaida Miller (Jerry) and Norma Jeanne Jimenez of Las Cruces. She was preceded in death by her parents Valente Almaguer Jimenez and Amalia Serna Jimenez, brothers Agapito Jimenez, Lorenzo Jimenez, Joseph Jimenez,Valente Jimenez and a sister Micaela Jimenez. A daughter, Annette Duarte, son Mark Anthony Duarte and grandson Mark Duarte Jr. also preceded her in death. The Lord blessed Julie with six children who became her reason for living. Julie lived most of her life in Las Cruces. With children, family and friends close by; she had many joys that kept her in Las Cruces. She was a woman who lived life to the fullest and live life as if there were no tomorrow. She was free spirited, extremely hard working and a best friend to all who needed a shoulder of just someone with whom to enjoy the day. Her love for her children and life was one in a million, just as she was, a unique lady. Many loved her and she will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of having her in their life. "Dance as if o one is watching, sing as if no one is listening, love as if you will never love again and live like there is no tomorrow cause for some of us there is no tomorrow." Momma we love you Memorial services are at Getz Funeral Home on Thursday June 8th at 9:00, followed by internment at Hillcrest Cemetery, where she will come to rest with one of her gifts from God, "Markie".
