Judith Bloom

Judith Ann Van Goethem Bloom, age77, of Las Cruces, NM, died March 5, 2017. Judith was born September 30, 1939 in Grosse Point, Michigan. The daughter of Frank and Agusta (DeVos)Van Goethem. Judith married Dalyn J. Bloom, December 16, 1961. They enjoyed 56 years of happy married life. She worked 20 years for State Farm Insurance Company. After she retired she became an avid tole painter, also teaching tole painting. During that time her paintings earned many Blue Ribbons at state fairs and other tole painting shows. Judith is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Dalyn Bloom, two sons, Rusty and Terry Bloom, one grandson, John R. Bloom, one granddaughter, Angel Habbel, and one sister in law, Betty Van Goethem. She is preceded in death by parents Frank and Agusta Van Goethem, brothers Raymond and Donald Van Goethem, and sisters Marie De Block and Helen Kinsora. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M.. Monday, March 13, 2017 at Cross of the Christ Lutheran Church, located at 2540 El Paseo Rd., Las Cruces, NM. Pastor Jim Connel will be officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Elliott Cemetery, Mausoleum in Clinton TWP, MI at a later date.
