Joyce E. Maxey

Joyce E. Maxey, 73, of Las Cruces, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005. She was born May 8, 1932 in Blue, Oklahoma to William and Delaney Mae Rush. Joyce had a passion for playing cards but Canasta was her best game. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 41 years Siegle Maxey of the family home; children Tim Reeves and wife Elaine, Steve Reeves and wife Becky, Bill Cupit and wife Renee; Curtis Maxey, Robert Maxey, Roy Maxey, Paula Ayres, Dona Hass, Shirley Pugh, Mary Spence and Delora Lewis; brother William Rush Jr., sisters Christine Moore and Leona Sendin. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive her. Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter Twona Maxey; brother Dick Rush and sisters Margaret Hayes and Delcia Rush. Funeral Services are at 9:00 AM Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005 at Getz Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Cleveland officiating. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery.
