Joy Elizabeth Shuford McFarland Passed to her heavenly reward February 23, 2018. Joy was born March 5, 1931 to John Robert Shuford and Ivy Beth Aldridge. One word describes Joy, Faithfulness. Joy was faithful to her husband Earl for 47 years. She was faithful to her daughters Robin and Janet and to her 4 step-children Earl, Jillenne, Jannette, and Joanna. She was very faithful to her career as an Elementary School teacher for 30 years in California. She is remembered for her faithful service to El Caldito Soup Kitchen, to her church, St. Andrews Episcopal Church in many meaningful ways. Her work in the Library and the gift shop was particularly faithful. She was particularly faithful in her membership and her service to the Daughters of the King, most of whom are sitting with me today. She was Faithful to her God. Yes, one word describes her life- FAITHFUL.
