Joseph Valles

Joseph Valles left this Earth to be with the Lord on November 29, 2020, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He was 28 years old. Joseph was born on November 20, 1993 in Laughton, Oklahoma. As a child, he was full of curiosity and was always running around and playing with his brother and sister. As he got older, his intelligence became apparent, and was a part of the gifted program all through grade school. He attended Lynn Middle School to be a part of the magnet program there, where he competed in a robotics competition and won first place. He graduated from Las Cruces High School and during his time there, tutored fellow students in math and aided the IT department. Joseph was an avid computer programmer and won a computer programming competition his junior year. He could always be found on his computer, working on math equations and writing programs to predict the stock market. In his free time, he enjoyed volunteering at the El Caldito Soup Kitchen. Joseph was a caring, loving person who was dedicated to helping those less fortunate, and often gave all he had to others. He had a deep impact on all who met him, and he will be missed dearly. Joseph was preceded in death by Lisa Ann Schaefer and is survived by his parents Annette and Jim Tankesly and Donald Valles, as well as his brother Donny Tankesly and his sisters Shiloe Valles, Vanessa, and Julianna Tankesly. Services were held on Thursday, December 17th at 10am at the Real Life Church on El Paseo in Las Cruces, NM. Arrangements were entrusted to Getz Funeral Home.
