Johnny Lee Harvey passed away on March 4, 2025. Born on September 7, 1960, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he was the cherished son of Marvin and Frankie Harvey, both of whom preceded him in death. For more than 40 years, Johnny made his home in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where he left an indelible mark on the community.

He is survived by his loving husband of 34 years, Edward Aylesworth, his sister Kim Graham, and his brother Gary Harvey. Additionally, he leaves behind two aunts, numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Bonkers.

Johnny began his career at Blake’s Lotaburger and concluded it with 20 years of dedicated service as a CNA at Memorial Medical Center. Despite facing numerous serious health challenges, Johnny’s warrior spirit enabled him to lead an active and joyful life.

John was a man who loved people, particularly cherishing the time spent with his family and friends. His kind, generous, and outgoing nature meant that he could make a friend of any stranger. His travels with Ed resulted in lifelong friendships formed on tours, cruises, and planes, and his compassion extended to animals, particularly dogs. Over the years, he and Ed cherished seven dogs, who brought immense joy to their lives.

One of John’s greatest passions was sharing extraordinary cultural experiences with Ed. Together, they traveled across the United States and around the world, creating enduring memories. Making jewelry became both a pastime and a form of therapy for an injured shoulder. John crafted his pieces with care and gifted them to the many people he loved and who loved him in return.

Johnny Lee Harvey lived a life full of love and was loved to the fullest. His legacy of kindness, generosity, and resilience will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
