Send Flowers Johnny Dominguez May 13, 1933 - March 27, 2016 Johnny Dominguez beloved father, grandfather and friend went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 27, 2016. He was born on May 13, 1933 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Matias Dominguez and Julia Dominguez. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Sophie Maldonado Dominguez and siblings Jesus (Chuy) Dominguez, Corrine Martinez, Irene Padilla and Bessie Reyes. He is survived by his daughters Cynthia Baca and Sandra Dominguez. His grandchildren Stephanie and Rob Garris, and Christopher and Brigette Baca, and his great grandchildren Sofia Garris, Gavin Garris and Presleigh Baca, and many nephews and nieces. Johnny was a member of El Calvario United Methodist Church for 60 years where he served his church in many capacities. Of utmost importance to Johnny was his love and devotion to his family and friends. He radiated a spirit of unconditional love and his smile never failed to light up someone's day. His actions alone told the story of who he was, a man built of strength and resilience. Johnny served in the United States Air Force and the National Guard for twenty years. It is difficult to encompass his life in words and he was an amazing man who will be loved and missed more than words can express. We will be grateful every day for his love, patience, dignity and wit. Visitation will be Monday, April 4th at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Life Celebration at 2:00 p.m. at El Calvario United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Reception at 5:00 p.m. at St. Pauls United Methodist Church. A special thanks to his dear friends Edna Orona, Sandra Orona and Ginger Ruedas who provided him with loving comfort and care, to family and the staff at Mountain View Memorial Hospital and to the many friends of El Calvario United Methodist Church who were his "rock".
