John James Troy II, 74, died at his home on May 20, 2017. He was born October 29, 1942 in Grosse Point, MI. Mr. Troy taught school in the Las Cruces Public School system for 33years before retiring in 2000. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving 1962-1964. He is survived by his wife, Joan Anne Troy of Las Cruces, NM, children, Jennie Troy of Las Cruces, NM and John K. Troy of Newport News, VA; grandchildren, Jacqueline Elmore (Joshua), Dominic Trujillo and one great grandchild, Paislee G. Elmore all of Las Cruces, NM. He is also survived by his sister Pamela Troy of Kanehoe, HI and brother, Patrick Troy of Plumas Lake, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, John James and Cora Ann Troy. A rosary will be held at 9:30 am followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 1, 2017 at St. Albert Newman Center, Las Cruces, NM.
