John Demartino
August 20, 1930 — March 5, 2011
John DeMartino 80, of Las Cruces passed away Saturday March 5, 2011. He was born Aug. 20, 1930 in Italy to Frank and Christina Russo DeMartino. John was a veteran to the U.S. Army where he served our country honorably. He had been the owner operator of Home Maintenance Service and Repair. John was a jack- of- all- trades and a workaholic but his passion was for his family. Mr. DeMartino will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his son John DeMartino of Las Cruces; daughter Martha Venditto of Staten Island, NY; sisters Martha DeMartino and Mary Barbutti; grandchildren Derek, Robbie, Cristen, Alek, Levi and John; great-grandchildren Michael and Stephanie. Also surviving him is his daughter-in-law Stacey DeMartino of Las Cruces. John was preceded in death by his son Francis DeMartino and his parents. A Memorial Mass to celebrate his life will be at 12:10 pm on Tuesday March 15, 2011 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rite of Committal to follow at the St. Francis Columbarium.
