Jimmy B. Harris Jr.

Jimmy B. Harris Jr. 72, of Mesilla, NM died Thursday May 5, 2005 at La Posada Mesilla Valley Hospice. He was born January 25, 1933 in Blooming Grove, TX to J.B. and Maurine Harris. Jimmy has lived in Mesilla since 1938 where he was widely known for his farming and cattle feed. He was a member of the PCA Board for over 20 years and was also a Rodeo Cowboy Association cardholder. Jimmy was a true cowboy that loved the outdoors and knew his cattle and horses. He is survived by one son, Buford Harris and wife Susan of Mesilla, NM; three daughters, Sharlene Martinez and husband Jim of Pecos, TX Heather Drumm and husband Dustin of Woodbridge, VA and Jamie Harris of Las Cruces, NM. He is also survived by one brother Dr. Adron Harris and wife Diane of Austin, TX and by five grandchildren Lauren, Shelley, Sean, Elaine, and Riley. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 Saturday May 7, 2005 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Jack Cain. Pallbearers will be Dustin Drumm, Raul Pena, Joe Morrow, Jimmy Martinez, Dave Lowry, and Walt Ludwig. PDF Printable Version
