Jill Folkman

Jill Folkman, 44, passed away on July 6, 2019 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Jill graduated from Las Cruces High School and attended New Mexico State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality, Restaurant Management and Tourism. Her degree took her to many large cities in Nebraska, Arizona and Texas. At the time of her death Jill was employed by Drury Hotels at the Drury Plaza North in San Antonio, Texas as an Area Sales Manager. Jill was born in Reno, Nevada, May 19, 1975 to Dale W Folkman and Judy (Ingram) Folkman. She grew up on the family farm at Arrey, New Mexico. She loved her chickens, rabbits, cats and dogs. She learned how to play golf at the tender age of 3 and went on to be a very good golfer. She was on the Mayfield High School golf team as a freshman and received the honor as the First freshman to be on Mayfield's winning team at the New Mexico State High School Tournament. Her degree in HRT took her to several large cities in Texas, Nebraska and Arizona. She was employed by Drury Hotels as Area Sales Manager at Drury Plaza North in San Antonio, Texas, at the time of her death. Jill was baptized when she was twelve years old. She continued in her walk with Christ during her time on earth and is celebrating her reunion with him now. She is survived by her parents Dale and Judy, her sister Amby (Stormy)Adams of Las Cruces, NM. Her brother Lars (Diana)Folkman of Prior Lake, MN, her brother Brian Folkman of Las Cruces, NM. Nieces Chloe Folkman, Sami Folkman, Tara Rice, Jocelyn Decater and nephews Zach Adams, Loren Folkman and Riley Folkman. Great Nieces Ella Rice and Leree Decater. Great nephews Jude Herrera, Uriah Rice, Wylder Rice, and Logan Decater. Jill's cremains will be interred at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Las Cruces, NM during a private family service.
