Jenny Burress-Hutcheson, 67, was born March 19, 1943 in Henderson, Texas to Rev. and Mrs. Frank Burress. She died at Mountain View Hospital in Las Cruces on September 29, 2010. She spent the early years of her life in Texas and moved to Wisconsin with her parents when she was 13 where she graduated from high school. She graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. Her father was a pastor in Texas and Wisconsin and later an associated director of missions of Southern Baptists in Wisconsin. Jenny returned to Greenbay and taught elementary school a short time then got a master's degree in library science at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She then became an elementary school librarian in Greenbay for many years. She retired from the Greenbay school system and continued to live there but traveling extensively in the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia. She bought her own home and lived a single life until she married Radford Hutcheson August 22, 2009. They met at the First Baptist Church, Las Cruces when she was a snowbird in February 2009. Having sold his home in Las Cruces, Radford traveled to Wisconsin to prepare for the wedding. After a short honeymoon on beautiful Mackinac Island in Lake Michigan, they prepared to sell her home and then to move her furniture to Las Cruces shortly after its sale. They then traveled to Las Cruces where they bought a home together. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Las Cruces. In Greenbay she had been a member of the Pilgrim Congregational Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Frank and Mrs. Ardell Burress. She is survived by her husband, Radford Hutcheson a retired pastor and associational director of missions in southwestern New Mexico. She has one brother, Tom Frank Burress in Madison, Wisconsin and by a sister, Tempy McCombe and her husband George who are missionaries in Educador. In addition by two nephews and one niece: Spencer McCombe and his wife Kristin who live in Bridgewater, Virginia and have one child; and by Neelye Bell Brown and her husband Chad who live in Oconomowoc, WI and have three children. She is also survived by many friends in Greenbay, Las Cruces and many other places. The visitation service will be Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 5pm
