James "Jimmie" P. Williams Jr.

James P. “Jimmie” Williams died Saturday, February 22. He was 92 years old. A native of North Carolina, Jimmie was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

 After leaving the Air Force as a Master Sergeant, he worked for the U.S. Army Research Center at Duke University. He moved to White Sands Missile Range in 1980 to work in the Security Division.

 When he retired, he built houses with Habitat for Humanity for many years. He appreciated that he was chosen to take part in the Honor Flight of Southern New Mexico program.

 Jimmie is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary, daughter Jennifer, son-in-law Jamie, Sons Jonathan, Joshua, daughter -in-law Samantha, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter Carolyn.

Cremation has taken place.
