James Andrew Holmes James Andrew Holmes (La Mesa) was born on October 17th, 1962, and called to Heaven on November 9th, 2021. James was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a noble Samaritan, a guardian angel amongst us and now one above us. James is preceded in death by Glenn Robert Holmes (father), Glenn Holmes (brother), Cindy Holmes (sister), and Adalyn Iery (great-niece). James is survived by George Escobedo (husband), Freda Rose Holmes (mother), Barb Holmes (sister), Mary Ann Newhouser (sister; Hal Newhouser), John Holmes (brother; Connie Holmes), Iris Kimbley (sister; Bill Kimbley), Patrick Holmes (brother; Missy Holmes), as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and his two Old English Sheepdogs, Carmelo and Diego. I'm Free Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free I'm following the plan God has chosen for me. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way I've now found peace at the end of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss Oh yes, these things, I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow Look for the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seems all too brief Don't lengthen your pain with undue grief. Lift up your heart and peace to thee. God wanted me now - He set me free. Te conozco mosco. Until we meet again, my love. A celebration of life will be held on December 5th, 2021, at Bite of Belgium from 4 pm to 7 pm.
