James Dale Duff

James Dale Duff, 61 years old of Las Cruces, NM died Sunday, May 1, 2005 at his home. He was born January 11, 1944 in Wayne City, Illinois to John and Margurete Duff. James had retired from Leggs and was presently a machine technician with Las Cruces Machine Manufacturing and Engineering. A Las Cruces resident for about the last 40 years he was a member and deacon at Fairacres Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. He was also an avid bowler and enjoyed woodworking. His wife Nancy; one son Jason Duff and his wife Christy of Las Cruces; one daughter Stacie Ewing and her husband Bill of High Rolls, NM; one brother John Duff of Wisconsin; and one sister Helen Knight and her husband Jack of Las Cruces survive James. Three grandchildren, Jeremiah and Jaycob Duff, and Travis Chenault, his in-laws, Robert (Cotton) and Lorretta (White woman) Guy, and many nieces and nephews also survive him. His parents and eight siblings preceded him in death. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, May 5, 2005 at Getz Funeral Home. Cremation will take place and a memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, May 7, 2005 at Fairacres Baptist Church, 5100 W. Picacho, Las Cruces. Officiating will be Brother Gary F. Bowser, First Southern Baptist Church, Willcox, Arizona. .
