Iverson Edward Leake
July 13, 1939 — December 19, 2018
Iverson Edward "Ed" Leake, loving father and husband, passed away on December 19th, 2018 in Las Cruces, NM at the age of 79. Ed was born in Canyon, TX to Iverson A.and Alleene G. Leake on July 12, 1939. He graduated from Canyon High School in 1958. He then served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963. He later married Manuela M. Leake on December 23, 1991 in New Mexico where he lived the rest of his life. He enjoyed fishing, painting, lapidary, and making jokes. He was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and compassionate spirit. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Virginia Ringener. He is survived by his wife Manuela M. Leake and children Todd Leake, Vianey Marquez, and Alleene A. Leake, and 3 grandchildren. Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. on January 19, 2019 at Getz Funeral Home in Las Cruces, NM.
