Ines Lopez

Ines E. Lopez, 87, of Mesilla, NM., Passed away on Sunday August 15, 2021, surrounded by her family. Mami as she was fondly known, was born in Santa Barbara, Chihuahua, Mexico on September 25, 1933.

She was retired after many years of service from Stahman Farms. She was a faithful member of the Basilica De San Albino where she gave freely of her time to the church to help in any way needed. Mami was a wonderful cook and especially enjoyed baking cakes.

Mrs. Lopez is survived by her daughters; Esther Lopez of Las Cruces, NM, Rosa Lopez of San Miguel, NM, and Bertha Vasquez of Albuquerque, NM; and by one granddaughter, Ida Perea of Albuquerque, NM, who was more of a daughter to her than a granddaughter. She also leaves behind many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, newphews, cousins, and many friends who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Exiquio S. Lopez, 2 sons, Manuel and Exiquio Jr., Granddaughter Vanessa Gonzalez, sisters, brothers and by many other family members.

The honor of being Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers goes to members of Ines's family. Pallbearers include Tono Flores, Noel Garcia, Danny Ortega, Jonah Garcia, Jaime Torres, Joel Torres, Edward Lee (Lalo) Flores, Joshua Montoya. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Serrano and Malikai Popovich.

A viewing for Ines will be held on August 23rd, 2021, from 9AM to 10AM at the Basilica De San Albino Catholic Church. A Rosary Prayer service will follow at 10AM. The Funeral Mass will also be held on August 23rd, 2021 at 10:30AM at the Basilica De San Albino, Burial will follow mass at the San Albino Catholic Cemetery.
