Ida "Katie" Placencio, 81, a resident of Gila, NM entered eternal rest Monday, December 17, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces. Katie was born June 10, 1937 in Harrison Arkansas to Frank Gooch and Elzadie Pierce. Katie and her husband owned and operated the Riverside Meat Market for many years, then both were employed by the United States Postal Service as Highway Contractors of 30 plus years. Son, Michael (Grace) of Silver City, grandkids, Ariana, Cedric, Aeneas, and one sister Pat of San Antonio.
