Hugo H. Chavez, 44, of Las Cruces, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010. He was born Aug. 6, 1965 in Canutillo, TX to Henry and Catarina Alvarez Chavez. Hugo was a retired Investigator with White Sands Missile Range after many years of faithful service. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus from Colorado and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and racquetball.
