Col. H. J. (Jack) Randall entered eternal life with the Lord on June 30th, 2024. Jack was born in Athens, TN to Charles and Daisy Randall on June 5, 1933. He was 91.
He attended Tennessee Wesleyan College and then entered the United States Air Force in 1955 and retired in 1985. He earned a BS in Nuclear Engineering and a MS in Systems Management. He had a distinguished career as a pilot and engineer, was a squadron commander (21st TAS), director of the Antisatellite Systems Directorate, and Deputy for Air Force at WSMR. He was a man who walked by his faith, a Baptist Deacon and Elder, and volunteered as Treasurer of Calvary Baptist Church and the Chairman of the Board for White Sands Credit Union.
He is preceded in death by his first wife of 44 years, Frances Randall; his sister, Frances Jones, and his brother, Charles (Dan) Randall. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Judith Corr-Randall, his 4 sons; Frank, Tom (Ellen), Andrew (Jennifer), Jack (Cynthia); and his grandchildren; Ryan, Amy (Josh Ziegler), Matthew, Eric Russell (Christy), Jason Russell, Cassady Russell (Jamie), Michael, Alayna (Thomas Montoya), Alissandra (Albert Ruiz), Benjamin, and numerous great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Judith's children Suzanne (Joe Worden), Mike Corr (Dorianne) and Patricia Gibbon, and her grandchildren (John Corr, Taylor Corr, Lily Worden, Eve Worden, and Sarah Gibbon).
A public viewing will be held at Getz Funeral Home in Las Cruces, NM on Thursday July 11, 2024 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Las Cruces on Friday, July 12, 2024 beginning at 10:00 am., followed by internment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens cemetery.
