Hector Ogaz, age 74, of El Paso, Texas passed away on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022. Hector was born on August 14, 1947.



God's loyal servant was called home by our Lord on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his beloved family. He is survived by his loving wife of over 53 years, Toni Ogaz, and their 3 children: Eric Ogaz, Sabrina Wright (Adam), and Michael Ogaz (Arefa). Also survived by his siblings: Patsy Trujillo, Edmond Ogaz, and Dickie Ogaz. 4 grandchildren: Kenedy (20), Adam (17), Zyana (7), and Ilyos (5). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his Galindo in-law family. Hector is preceded in death by his parents Carmen and Adrian Ogaz and sister Anita.



Hector graduated from NMSU with a master's in Animal Science. He retired from Sealed Air / Cryovac as the Regional Manager of the Midwest Region in 2012 after 40 years of service.



Hector was known for his devotion to his family, his witty sense of humor, and his passion for visiting his numerous friends and families' farms and state fairs in his free time. Hector loved high-quality livestock, especially sheep. A show was just not a show without Hector in the stands or perusing the pens with a good, encouraging word to all, knowing not a stranger. Enthusiasm and encouragement were the watchwords that simply framed Hector's life. He was a friend to all. To his friends and family, Hector was a Shepard of the highest degree.

The schedule of services for Hector:



April 26th (Tuesday) at 5:30 pm - A Celebration of Life service will be held at Getz Funeral Home (1410 E. Bowman Avenue, Las Cruces, NM).



April 27th (Wednesday) at 10:00 am - Mass at St. Luke's Catholic Church (930 E. Redd Rd., El Paso, TX). The burial of cremains will immediately follow the church service at the Garfield Cemetery in Garfield, NM.
