Guadalupe Tellez

Guadalupe Tellez, 81, a life long resident of Las Cruces, NM died Tuesday April 4, 2006 at his home. "Lupe" as most people knew him, was born in Las Cruces, NM January 22, 1925. He retired from WSMR where he was a printer. After retiring, he continued to serve the community through his many services of preparing income taxes, various maintenance jobs and being an active parishioner at the St. Genevieve's Catholic Church. Lupe, we love you and will miss you everyday. We will miss the many ways you made us all laugh and smile with the jokes you told us and the songs you sang. We are assured of your entering Heaven. We will join you some day. He is survived by his son, Richard Tellez and wife Victoria of Las Cruces, NM; daughters, Maria Dolores Brown of Las Cruces,NM; Irene Kurtze and husband Raymond of Tucson, AZ; Victoria Garcia and husband Gustavo of Tucson, AZ; Stephanie Salazar and husband Jose of El Paso, TX; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Felicia M. Tellez and son Albino Tellez. A visitation will be held Friday April 7, 2006 from 5-7 PM at Getz Funeral Home with a prayer vigil to follow at 7 PM also at Getz. The funeral mass will be given at 9 AM Saturday April 8, 2006 at the St. Genevieve's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St Joseph's Cemetery. Officiating will be Fr. Juan Moreno.
