Gladys Larson Thompson

Gladys Larson Thompson, known as Skip by friends and family, passed away on May 1, 2006 at The Heritage Assisted Living in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Born April 29, 1922, to Fredrik and Emma Caroline Larson in Santa Clara, California, Skip was raised on an apricot and peach farm. She was a graduate of Campbell High School and San Jose State University. As a young wife, Skip moved to Las Cruces and raised her son, Mark Thompson III of Albuquerque, and her daughters, Kristin Thompson, also of Albuquerque, and Pamela Rau of Santa Monica, California. Grandchildren include Tracie Thompson of Oakland, California, Marya Lundstedt of Menlo Park, California, Lauren and Aaron Rau of Santa Monica, California., and Isaac Rau of Tolleson, Arizona. Skip also has three great grandchildren, Konrad, Tor, and Beda Lundstedt. Other survivors include daughter-in-law Billie Jean Thompson and son-in-law James Rau. Skip was always very involved in the Las Cruces community and participated in many local organizations such as the Community Concert Association, Planned Parenthood, Girl Scouts, Women
