Geraldine Cooper

Geraldine Cooper, our beloved mother and grandmother, entered eternal rest August 21, 2012, at the age of 90; she was born February 16, 1922, in Davis, Oklahoma, to Hugh and Hettie Baker. Geraldine worked as a billing clerk at the Imperial Irrigation District in Imperial, CA, with 20 years of faithful service. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by sons, Larry and Ron Cooper of Las Cruces, and a daughter Sandra Nix of Anaheim, CA. Other survivors include sisters Shirley DeVoll and Linda Waggoner, brothers Charles, Kenny and Jerry Baker, Six grandchildren, Sharon, Karen, Tammy, Jill, Kim, and Lori. Ten great grandchildren, Nicolas, Randi, Danielle, Ronnie, Trevor, Peyton, Kylee, Kasey, Haley, and Hanna. Also surviving are six great great- grandchildren, the oldest being Dillon and Ashlynn. Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband Harry Cooper of 67 years, and her grandson, Jerry Cooper. At Geraldine's request, cremation will take place and a memorial Services to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 am Monday, August 27, 2012 at Getz Funeral Home with Chaplain Larry Pugh officiating. Geraldine's remains will be laid to rest with her loving husband Harry Cooper at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. PDF Printable Version
