Frances S. Qualtrough

Frances Serna Qualtrough, 75, entered eternal life on Saturday October 20, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Las Cruces, NM on September 29, 1943 to Lewis and Fannie Serna Frances loved and enjoyed traveling. The further the better. She traveled overseas to tour many countries including Spain, Germany, Switzerland and the Holy Land. She was active in the 60's Club and also treasurer in the Eagles Club where she truly enjoyed the company of her friends. She always enjoyed playing her favorite slots in different casinos whenever the opportunity was there. She lived life to the fullest and will truly be missed. Frances started her career in electronics working in California then at White Sands Missile Range dating back to the 1960's. She worked for several different government contractors during that period and in 2010 retired from NEWTEC at WSMR. Frances took much pride in her work and received numerous awards for her excellent performance and achievements. Frances is survived by her daughters Veronica Carrillo, Bernadette Carrillo, Jessica Peralta and husband Josh. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren many nieces, nephews and cousins. Other survivors include her sisters Josie Jaramillo and Theresa Lucero. Frances is preceded in death by Lewis and Fannie Serna (parents); and Dolores Dee Serna (sister). Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 6:00pm on Friday November 02, 2018 at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E. Bowman Ave. Funeral services to be held at 10:00am on Saturday November 03, 2018 also at Getz Funeral Home. On Wednesday, November 07, 2018 at 10:00 am, interment of the ashes will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 5140 W. Picacho Ave. Las Cruces, NM.
