Flora D. Martinez

Flora D. Martinez, 76, of Las Cruces, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010. She was born Sept. 24, 1933 in Chamita, NM to Epimenio and Rumaldita Dominguez. Flora was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, was a self-educated through her family, a very loving and caring person with a devout dedication for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Arsenio Martinez of the family home; her children Leandro and wife Rebekah, Joseph and wife Natalie, Cathy Martinez and partner Linda Montoya, Theresa Hoffacker and husband Ben, Celestina and Carlos Torres all of Las Cruces, Arsenio Jr., Marvin, Carmela Martinez and Benita Martinez all of Santa Fe, NM and Patricia Miller and husband Kelly of Pagosa Springs, CO; brother and sisters Leandro Dominguez of Chamita, NM, Cleo Dominguez of Sacramento, CA and Marcelina Ortiz of Santa Fe, NM. Also surviving her are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Flora was preceded in death by her son Joseph Paul and brothers Joe, Teodocio and Juan. A prayer vigil will be held at 9:15 am on Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral with a Memorial Mass to follow at 10 am with Fr. Sean Garrity officiating. Rite of Committal for her cremains will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery. PDF Printable Version
