Eva Licon

Eva Licon, 78 of Deming, NM, embraced our Heavenly Father, surrounded by her children, grandchildren and family on Sunday, June 5, 2005 at her home. Eva was born May 20, 1927 in Santa Cruz, De Mayo, Chihuahua, Mexico to Jose and Luz Madrid. She was a resident of the area since 1949 and was retired from Sara Lee Hosiery. Eva was also a member of St. Genevieve's Catholic Church. She is survived by four sons, Luis Madrid and his wife Delia of Los Angeles, California; Eduardo Madrid and his wife Cynthia of Diamond Bar, California; Ruben Licon and his wife Lorraine of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Randy Licon and his wife Katie of Tacoma, Washington. One daughter, Martha Montoya and her husband Anastacio of Deming, New Mexico. Three brothers, Roberto Madrid of Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico; Jesus Madrid of Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico, and Benjamin Madrid of Jimenez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Also surviving her is one sister, Rosaura Alarcon of Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico, 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Justo in 1989, two sons, Ronnie Licon in 1993, Chito Licon in 2004, and a grandson Reggie Licon in 1981. A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel where the Prayer Vigil will follow at 7 PM, presided by Deacon Arturo Narvaez. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 10 AM on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Moreno officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. Serving, as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Samuel Madrid, Alfonso Salais, Emmanuel Carrillo, Lawrence Licon, Andrew Licon, and Jacob Licon. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Daniel Licon, Eliezer Berger, Joseph Licon, Nathan Licon, and Kevin Acosta. PDF Printable Version
