Eugene Beed

On Sunday January 31, 2021, Gene Beed, loving husband and father of three, passed away at age 64. Gene was born on May 6, 1956 in Chicago, IL, to Theodore and Alfreda Beed. In 1981, he received his doctorate of medicine from the University of Illinois achieving his childhood dream of becoming a doctor. He practiced medicine as a pediatrician alongside his wife before eventually starting his own business. On December 20, 1980 he married the love of his life Margaret. Together they raised three children, two daughters, Courtney and Mallory, and a son, Alex. Gene always had a strong passion for gardening, cooking, and writing. He loved dogs, traveling, his beloved Chicago Bears, and sharing his interests with those closest to him. He was always eager to pick up new hobbies and visit new places to learn more of the world. Gene is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Margaret, his three children, Courtney, Mallory, and Alex, and his granddaughter, Sloane.
