Esther Valencia

Esther H. Valencia, 69, entered eternal life peacefully on October 2, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 18, 1952, in Garfield, NM to Manuel and Isabel Hernandez. She was an adoring and caring mom, grandma, and friend. She enjoyed doing crafts, camping, traveling and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She retired from the US Postal Service in 2004. Esther is survived by her daughters: Renee Pantoja (Andy), Janet Godfrey (Edward), Brenda Valencia, and Gwen Thompson; six grandchildren: Eric (Sylvia) and Breanna Pantoja, Ray and Seth Godfrey, Heather (Sean) Shellito, and Justin Baca; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Steve, her parents, brother, and several aunts & uncles. At Esther's request, cremation will take place. A Holy Rosary will begin at 1 pm on Friday, October 15, 2021, at Our Lady of Purification Catholic Church, 5525 Cristo Rey in Dona Aa and a Memorial Mass will be thereafter with the Reverend Ivan Torres, Celebrant. Concluding service interment will follow in Hatch, NM at Garden of Memories cemetery. Service Information
