Estella M. Butler

Estella M. Butler, age 87 of Las Cruces was called home by Our Heavenly Father on Friday, June 18, 2010. She was born on March 22, 1923 in Mesilla, NM to Longino and Guadalupe Mestas. She was a homemaker and was managing her farms. Estella was a devoted member of San Isidro Catholic Church and Our Lady of Purification in Dona Ana. She was a very giving and generous woman and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Estella is survived by her son John Butler and his wife Margie Butler, her grandchildren, Bobby Butler, Mandy McGrath, Chrissy Thompson and her husband Terrance and her great- grandchild David Robert Butler. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Butler McGrath and her two sons, Michael Butler and George Butler. A viewing will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, followed by the Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Getz Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Purification Church in Dona Ana on Friday, June 25, 2010. Interment will follow at San Albino Cemetery. Officiating will be Father Mike Macaya. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Butler, Toby Sample, Lalo Rodriguez, Mark Rodriguez, Randy Rodriguez, Michael Fierro, and Sonia Graczyk.
