Estella A. Villegas

Estella A. Villegas, 80, of Hatch, NM died Wednesday May 24, 2006. She was born July 17, 1925 in Clint, TX to Natividad and Isabel Arellano. Estella enjoyed being outside gardening and selling chili with her husband. She was a member of the Catholic Church and was very involved in the Community Dinners in Hatch. Most of all she loved to cook for her family. She was a very proud mom that shared many life lessons with her family to be passed down through their families. Estella was always there in a time of need, and helped at all of her family's businesses. Her kind and caring heart, helpfulness and knowledge will be truly missed by those that knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons; Willie Villegas III, Marty Villegas, Roger Villegas and Jesse Villegas all of Hatch, NM and George Singleton of England; daughters Angie Justus, Ruth Madrid and Blanca Villegas all of Hatch, NM. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Willie Villegas Jr. grandson Christopher Villegas, great grandson Roger Villegas and by two brothers and three sisters. A visitation will be held Tuesday May 30, 2006 from 5-7 pm at the Our Lord of Mercy Catholic Church in Hatch, NM with a prayer vigil to follow at 7 PM. The funeral mass will be given Wednesday May 31, 2006 at 10 AM at the Our Lord of Mercy Catholic Church with the rite of committal to follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Hatch. Pallbearers will be Isaac and Willie Villegas, Joseph and Patrick Carbajal, and Joshua and Jacob Villegas. Honorary pallbearers will be Salvador Carbajal, Adam Rarmirez and Roger Panagua.
