Ernest A. Perez Jr. 85, longtime resident of Las Cruces, NM took Gods hand when he was called on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 6:15AM and went home. He was born September 16, 1932 in Snyder, Colorado to Victoriano and Hilaria Alvarez Perez. Ernest served his country honorably in US Army during the Korean War as a Corporal. He worked for the Las Cruces transit. Ernest is survived by his loving wife Paula, daughter Sabrina, son John Paul. He is preceded in death by his daughter Martha Ann Lopez and granddaughter Kasaundra Lee Lopez, brothers; Edward A. (Lalo) Perez, Robert A. Perez; sisters Lupe, Celia, Margret Mary (Cito) Virginia and Josie. A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 8:30AM - 9:30AM in the Getz Funeral Home Chapel, with a Rosary and Funeral Liturgy to begin at 10:00AM at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church.
