Ernestina Q. Armendariz

Ernestina Q. Armendariz, 80 of Las Cruces died Friday March 11, 2011 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born November 7, 1930 in Fabens, TX to Ignacio and Maria Quinones. She enjoyed crocheting and being outside in her garden. But her true love was her family, everyone knew that you did not leave one of the many family gatherings without dancing with Ernestina. Everyone also knew that you never left her house hungry, she loved cooking for them all. She will be missed by all that loved her. She is survived by three sons, Manuel, Danny and companion Rachel of Las Cruces, NM and Joe and wife Annie of Albuquerque, NM; seven daughters, Bertha Morales and husband Enrique of Eloy, AZ; Angela Soltero and husband Guillermo, Martha A. Herrera, Emma Armendariz and companion Greg, Marie Armendariz, Vicki Armendariz, and Elsa Armendariz all of Las Cruces, NM. She is also survived by one brother, three sisters, twenty-one grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Brijido, daughter Carmen, son Brijido Jr. grandson Carlos and three brothers and one sister. A visitation will be held from 10-12 pm Thursday March 17, 2011 at Getz Funeral Home. The rosary/funeral mass will be given the same day at 2pm at the Our Lady of Health Catholic Church. Cremation will follow the services and a private family rite of committal will be given at Masonic Cemetery a later date. Pallbearers will be Manuel, Danny, Joe, Tony and Jesus Armendariz, and Charlie Dabbs. PDF Printable Version
