Ernest Amador

Ernest Amador of Las Cruces, NM has passed on to live in paradise on 26 July 2021. He was born on 01 January 1965 to L/CPL Ernest and Antonia Amador in Oceanside California in U.S. Naval Hospital, Camp Pendleton.

Ernest always had a smile on his face, he is known for being a kind and loving friend, family member, father and husband. He was a very helpful man lending a hand to everyone he knew in any way he could. He was very compassionate, funny and patient person. Not knowing what a day off was, he always stayed busy being such a hard worker fixing things or putting his beautifully master crafting mind to use and building things. He was a man that could envision in his mind how to build things such as structures without any blues. A true master craftsman. Ernest had an amazing loving heart especially when it came to animals. He saw them as people and valued them so very much. He definitely gave his heart to them. He enjoyed learning new things and educating people about what he knew to others. He tinkered with automobiles including some of his classic vehicles he had. Ernest was known to be a very great listener and gave sound advice, but only when asked, which made him a great person to go to. Some of his favorite things he enjoyed doing were wood working, watching and playing basketball, working on cars and trucks. He absolutely loved his fishing and play time with Bailey and Winston.

We all considered Ernest a master of all trades and a perfectionist in his craftsmanship in everything he put his time and hard work into. His name was known as a highly measured stamp of approval and therefore had a very positive reputation. Ernest was always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. With so many great qualities wrapped up into one individual Ernest will surely be missed.



Ernest is survived by his wife, Laura Amador, his two children, Steven Amador and Leann Amador and what he considered his grandson, Winston Amador. His mother, Antonia Tyner who resides in El Paso, TX. Brothers Michael Amador (Kingsland, GA), Orlando Amador (Arlington, TX), his sister Judy Whitticar (Clarksville, TN). Nieces and nephews, Orlando Jr., Alexis, Jered, Ashley, Aaron, Savannah and Samuel.



Memorial for celebrating the life and love for Ernest Amador will be at Getz Funeral Home on August 19, 2021 at 11 A.M.
