Emiko Horne

Emiko (Iwata) Horne, 79 years old, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 28, 2015 in Las Cruces, NM. She was born May 6, 1936 in Sapporo, Japan and was the daughter of Kana & Jyuzco Iwata. She was united in marriage to Paul R. Horne on July 5, 1966 at Misawa Air Force Base in Misawa, Japan. Emiko attended a Japanese high school until she had to stop & begin working a couple of jobs to help raise her extended family. She was a dedicated worker while raising her two children, Patricia (Greene) & Kenneth Horne. She enjoyed playing BINGO & watching her Japanese language television shows & videos. She was a life-long animal lover especially her dogs. She was employed at Tachikawa Air Base NCO Cafeteria. After their move to Omaha, Nebraska, she was employed at SAC Headquarters Cafeteria. Then relocated to Las Cruces, New Mexico where she worked & retired from ARA Mark Cafeteria in Corbett Center at New Mexico State University. Emiko is survived by her husband; Paul R. Horne. She is also survived by her daughter & son-in-law; Patricia (Horne) & Jeffrey J. Greene; Her grandchildren; Jesse & Ayden Greene. She was preceded in death by her son; Kenneth R. Horne.
