Elvira Sanchez, 83, passed away on December 8th after a brief illness. She was our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and sister and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Elvira was born on March 1, 1924 to Manuela and Tomasa Sanchez in Lordsburg, New Mexico. She had a great love for her children and grandchildren and enjoyed visiting with friends and relatives. She was also a member of the Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ramon, her mother and father and her brother, Celso Sanchez. She is survived by her three children; Lucina Pacheco, Ramon Sanchez and wife Diane, Eddie Sanchez and wife Josefina; 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her stepmother, Francisca, brother Edmundo Sanchez and sister Eva Navarro. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM, on Friday, December 14, 2007 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel with the recital of the Rosary to follow. Father Ray Flores will lead. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 8 AM at St. Albert the Great Newman Center. Officiating will be Father Ray Flores. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Serving, as pallbearers will be Stephen Pacheco, Ramon Sanchez, Jr., Jose Sanchez, Eddie Sanchez Jr., Sergio Sanchez and Andy Segovia. The family wishes to thank Dr. and Mrs. John Flores, Dr. and Mrs. Edward Wade Richardson and their staffs, Father Ray Flores, Mylissa Rel, Memorial Home Health staff, the staff and Dr. Klonis at Mountain View Regional Medical Center.
