Eduardo G. Rivera

Eduardo "Eddie" G. Rivera, 63, of Las Cruces, died April 21, 2010. He was born May 21, 1946 in Deming, NM to Daniel and Stella Gonzales Rivera. Eddie was a veteran of the US Army where he served his country honorably. He had a special gift for using his hands, especially for woodworking and leatherwork. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his son Eddie Jr., mother and step-father Stella and Theodore Jones of Las Cruces; brothers Louis Baca of Angel Fire, NM, Frank Rivera and Frumencio Baca both of Albuquerque, NM, Steve Baca of T or C, NM and Theodore Jones Jr. of Memphis, TN; sisters Teresa Engelking and husband Charley of Capitan, NM, Mary Alice Reyes and husband Salvadore of Las Cruces and Stella Marie Dante of Alcalde, NM. Also surviving him are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Eddie was preceded in death by his father Daniel Rivera and by his grandparents. Memorial Services to celebrate Eddie's life will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Scott Jorgenson officiating. The US Army will provide military honors.
