Edgar Cole Bufkin

Edgar Cole Bufkin, age 84, of Las Cruces NM passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017. He was a loving husband, stepfather, uncle and grandfather. At the age of 17 Edgar enlisted in the US Army and proudly served his country in both the Korean and Viet Nam wars. Edgar was born January 1, 1933 in Bolivar County Mississippi to Edgar Johnson Bufkin and Katherine Cole Bufkin He is survived by four nieces, Jacqueline White, Katherine Collyge, Cindy Taylor of Silver City NM, and Kim Diaz of Dallas TX, one nephew James Edgar Bufkin of Austin TX, his four stepchildren Lavonda Farris and husband Ross of Silver City, NM, Alan Greene of Las Cruces NM, Vicki Moran and Harry Johnson of Alamogordo NM and Berl Greene and wife Kim of Grapevine TX, grandchildren Krista, Wesley, Eddie Joe, Amanda, Jason, Jared and Katelyn and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Edna Mae Bufkin, his parents, and his brothers John Wilson Bufkin and Robert Selby Bufkin. Memorial services to celebrate his life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Fort Bayard National Cemetery with Pastor Don White officiating PDF Printable Version Interment Location
