Eddie Lucero, age 75, of Las Cruces entered eternal life on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at home with his loving wife Kay and his daughter Cynthia at his bedside. He fought a very courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He was born on October 13, 1945 in Las Cruces, NM to Manuel and Kate Lucero. He was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator for many years and retired from Certified Sand & Concrete. Survivors include his Wife Kay Lucero, his Daughter Cynthia, son in-law Xavier Avalos, his beloved and so very special grandkids Anthony and Marissa (Vaughn Smith). Four brothers, six sisters and many nieces and nephews. Also, survived by and at his side during his battle were the Melendrez, Gonzales and Padilla families. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Kate Lucero and brother Ray Lucero. A huge Thank You goes out to Mesilla Valley Home Hospice, MMC Cancer Center staff and Infusion Center staff, Dr. Adler and Lynn Fletcher, RN. Special Thanks to Lourdes Mendez-Rodriguez, RN for taking such good care of Eddie during his Cancer Center visits. We would also like to Thank Eddie's good friend Oscar Lucero for always thinking of him and keeping his spirits up. We Love You and will Always Miss You.
