Dorothy Lee Christian

Dorothy Lee Christian, 76, of Las Cruces, died Sunday, May 20, 2007. She was born Oct. 22, 1930 in Memphis, TX to Talmadge and Caldonna Lusk Creach. Dorothy had been a member of Temple Baptist Church and was the owner and operator of Christian Realty. She loved to read and believed that knowledge and education would come of it. She was fondly known as the FUDGE LADY. She will be forever deeply missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years Ted Christian of the family home; son Rick Christian Sr. and daughter Vonda Lenger and husband Gary all of Las Cruces; a special niece who was raised as a daughter Sherry Stoleld of Las Cruces; grandchildren Vikki, Dustin, Ricky Jr., Billy, Jackie, Wendy and Shana; great-grandchildren Joshua, Trista, Courtney, Brandon, Esperanza, Dominic, Deliah, Joel, Gabriel and Anthony. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; son John Robert; sisters Lola, Jewel and Elsie and by a brother Bud. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Getz Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate her life are at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at Temple Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Christian officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of Dorothy's family. PDF Printable Version
