Don Ritchie Kitchens

Don Ritchie Kitchens January 14, 1949 – February 21, 2025. Don went home to be with his Lord peacefully at Mesilla Valley Hospice La Posada in Las Cruces NM on February 21, 2025 after a brief illness, at the age of 76. Born January 14, 1949 to Otis and Evelyn Kitchens in Carlsbad, NM. He graduated high school and received his bachelors’ degree at New Mexico State University as an Electronics Engineer. He retired from White Sands Missile Range with 42 years of service from a long and rewarding career. He enjoyed helping people with their computer problems and taught many older folks the art of maneuvering computers, thus gaining new friends along the way. He will forever be missed by the love of his life, Kathryn, married 54 years. He adored and was adored by his 3 children, Jennifer, Benjamin and Rebecca. He loved his 2 sons-in-law, along with 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 grand-daughters-in-law and two “adopted” daughters. He will be remembered for his gentle-giant, kind and caring ways. He was quick to listen, slow to judge, quick with his wit, twinkling eyes and smile. Now at peace with Jesus.
